Fujiyama HiroyasuHiroyasu Fujiyama

Fujiyama Hiroyasu is a roaster at FUJIYAMA COFFEE ROASTERS in Yanai City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, facing the Seto Inland Sea. My love for coffee grew and I started working at a wholesale roaster, and after encountering specialty coffee, I started roasting. For Hiroyasu , roasting is like cooking, and he says it's important to use fresh, high-quality raw beans and roast them at the right temperature. ``A difference of 1 degree Celsius changes the taste of coffee,'' says Hiroyasu . Cupping, roasting, and adjustment are repeated day and night to produce the most delicious coffee possible.

"We're aiming for a complex flavour that is uniquely Kenyan."

The Kenyan Kiamabala coffee beans we will be roasting this time are coffee beans with great potential.
Kenya is a coffee producing region where you can enjoy a wide variety of roast levels.
Up until now, we have roasted a variety of Kenyan coffees.

The optimal roasting level for this Kenya Kiamabala coffee is medium roast. We think that by roasting it a little more, we can bring out the complex flavor.

Distinctive sweetness, berry and complex flavors unique to Kenya Nyeri

Top quality coffee from Kenya's Nyeri region, which is by far the most famous and high quality coffee in Africa. You can enjoy the sharp presence of citrus fruits typical of Kenyan washed wine.

In addition to the berry flavor typical of Nieri, it has a creamy texture and an apricot-like sweetness. It features a complex flavor that leans towards the sweet side.
The varieties consist of SL28 and SL34, and are harvested at an altitude of around 1600m. You can also feel the refreshing aftertaste that is unique to free washed.

The Kiamavala Coffee Factory is a washing station belonging to the Mugaga Agricultural Cooperative, a group of 900 local farmers. It was established in the early 1980s near Karatina, Nyeri County, to process the cherries they produced.

This factory strives to create a sustainable farm, aiming to stabilize production and improve quality through farm training and seminars. In addition, managers receive training every year and are proactive in incorporating the latest information.

The harvested cherries are brought to the factory in their raw form, in order to ensure quality, to use the factory's high-performance pulper, to standardize production processing time, and to allow for recycling of wastewater from the wet process.

After pulping, the parchment is fermented overnight and soaked. The pieces are then dried on an African bed for 7 to 15 days depending on the weather.
This process creates the complex flavors that are unique to this coffee.

It's possible because it's CROWD ROASTER
A combination of top roasters and high quality raw beans.
A unique taste.
Please enjoy our special coffee.
