Morifuji had the following to say about Kangocho:
Morifuji 's Kenya, which focuses on the sweetness rather than the sourness, is very easy to drink, yet you can still fully experience the individuality of the brand.
How has Morifuji roasted Kenyan coffee?
You can understand this by reading Morifuji 's following comment.
----------
I often hear people who are used to specialty coffee shy away from Kenyan light roasts, saying that they are a bit...
Kenyan washed beers tend to have a sharp acidity, which is one of their characteristics, but on the other hand, there seems to be a certain number of people who find them difficult to drink.

I would like to try roasting Kenyan light roast coffee, which many people find easy and delicious. What should I do to achieve this?
We fought against Kenya, suffering many setbacks and crying many times.
First, we need to round off the sourness and soften it. Then we need to make it smooth on the palate. Then we need to create a solid foundation of sweetness.
On top of that, how far can we enhance the flavor and express the character's outline, including the after-effect?
These should be controllable to some extent through roasting.
A light roast from Kenya with a moderate roundness and firm sweetness. Please try it.

Kenya has just the right amount of texture, juicy acidity, and is simply "sweet"!!
Gorgeous fruitiness, juicy acidity, and at the heart of it all a robust sweetness.
This is a coffee that truly conveys its excellent quality, even among Kenya AA coffees.
This Kenya variety has been extremely well received by the participating roasters at CROWD ROASTER and is now available in limited quantities!
The coffee is processed at the Kangocho Factory, owned by the Gikanda Agricultural Cooperative Society in Nyeri County, Central Province.
The parent organization, the Gikanda Producers Association, owns three factories: Kangocho, Gichasaini, and Ndaroini. The association was established in 1996. The number of members of the Gikanda Association is over 3,000. A little over one third of them belong to the Kangocho Factory.
As a cooperative, we are a sustainable cooperative that has obtained RA and FLO certification.
Processing involves 12 hours of dry fermentation, followed by gravity sorting while washing in a water channel. Drying is done in the sun for 14 days on African beds. This lot number: 16GF0002 means that it was the second batch finished at Gikanda Farmers Mill in the 16th week since October.
*This lot was not purchased as certified beans, so no certificate has been obtained.
