We are looking for participants for a special event where an up-and-coming roaster will roast "Panama Geisha ", which is said to be the best coffee in the world for its value and price! We will start at 6:00 pm on July 30, 2024 !

Exclusively for a maximum of eight participants, two roasters, Eiji Dobashi ( ignis ) and Machi Kodama ( ou.bai.tou.ri coffee roasters ), will be roasting Panama Geisha , which is a specialty of theirs!

PRIME LINE, which offers special coffee, will be joining CROWD ROASTER 's special roasting order system, "Roast Event."

A special Panama Geisha has been released to mark this occasion.
The two coffees are "Altieri Geisha Washed" and "Janson Geisha Natural."


Altieri is located in Boquete, Panama's leading production region, and is a farm that has attracted attention from around the world for further perfecting the unique flavor of Panamanian Geisha through aging.


Janson is a prestigious farm that represents Panamanian Geisha . Its top-of-the-line series, "Los Alpes," is a rare Geisha that is so highly sought after by buyers from all over the world.

The coffee will be roasted by two up-and-coming roasters participating in CROWD ROASTER : Eiji Dobashi ( ignis ) and Machi Kodama ( ou.bai.tou.ri coffee roasters ).

The two of them have a deep understanding of the appeal of Panama Geisha and have been roasting it and spreading its appeal.

Dobashi and Kodama , who are featured in this issue of PRIME LINE, have connections with the farm in Panama.

Actually, I had the opportunity to visit Panama recently and met Altieri there as well.
Altieri has a dark room, a facility that can simultaneously control drying and fermentation. The rich flavor of Altieri, which is created by meticulously calculating the temperature, humidity, and airflow, is very impressive.
Altieri coffee is elegant and floral, and as it cools it releases sweet fruit flavors such as peach and vine, so we want to roast it in a way that allows you to enjoy the changes in temperature.

Among Panama's famous farms, Janson Farm is said to be in a class of its own, famous for its particularly delicate and unique flavor. At SCAJ 2022, we had the opportunity to hold a talk session with Kai Janson. It's a farm we love and look forward to every year.
This Los Alpes is a rare, top-grade coffee from Janson Farm, and is characterized by its delicate and complex flavor after it cools down, its dynamic spread, and its sweetness. For this roast, I wanted to bring out the maximum flavor of this terroir, so I tried a light roast.

By the way, the Janson Geisha roasted by Kodama is served for 6,000 yen per cup at LA MAISON DE LA BERGERONNETTE GINZA , an ultra-luxury dessert salon in Ginza 5-chome, Tokyo, where CROWD ROASTER supplies its coffee beans and which uses only natural ingredients.

The editorial staff, who had made up their minds to visit the store, were completely speechless at the amazingness of the souffle cake baked on the spot and Geisha coffee ice cream, which is made with specially-married Amazonian cacao and is offered as a limited-time set for 10,000 yen. The aroma of Amazonian cacao and the rich aroma of ice cream kneaded with Geisha extract were unimaginable from the simple appearance, and we are happy to report that these were desserts and coffees on a level that we have never tasted in our lives.

This special roasting event, "PRIME LINE," will surely raise expectations based on the comments of the two roasters.
