This time we will be introducing "[GJE] Ethiopia/Guji Uraga/Zelerum Coffee Washing Station/Ethiopian Original/Natural".
Elegant and deep flavored guji
Within Ethiopia, Guji is one of the zones belonging to the Oromia region and was previously categorized as part of Sidamo.
Coffee production is carried out in five woredas (districts): Uraga, Adra, Shakiso, Hambela, and Querça. Among these, Uraga is known as an area with a particularly high altitude, and in the northwestern border area, coffee is produced at an altitude of about 2,800 m. The mountainous area is expanding.
Washing stations are said to have been introduced in the 1970s in Guji and the adjacent Yirgacheffe and Sidamo areas, and these areas are major producers of washed coffee in Ethiopia, and are also known for their high-quality coffee. It is considered to be a famous production area.
Zeleram Coffee Washing Station is a washing station located at an altitude of over 2,000m in Guji, Uraga, and Solomo, Oromia. The production and processing of cherries brought in from small-scale farmers living nearby is being carried out.
We have created various rules to improve quality, and the cherries brought in are hand-picked again before processing, removing immature and overripe beans, and carefully selecting only fully ripe cherries with a high degree of uniformity. Above, the washing station receives the cherries. This increases producers' awareness and harvest accuracy, and aims for stable quality every year.
There are more than 200 African beds inside the washing station, and each table has a code assigned to it, allowing each lot to be properly managed. It is managed so that the status of the lot can be confirmed.
