``ROAST CONTRAST BOX'' is a set where you can enjoy how the taste changes depending on the degree of roasting even if the same brand is used.
 


The brand used in this set is "[ SL28 ] Kenya/Nyeri/Kiamabara Coffee Factory/ SL28 /SL34/Washed".
We have selected a versatile brand that can be enjoyed from light to dark roasts.

[Shallow roast] Roast Design Coffee Mikami Hitomi

We asked Roast Design Coffee Mikami Hitomi to lightly roast the coffee.
 

Hitomi 's [ SL28 ] is lightly roasted, so you can fully enjoy the flavor of the brand.
The flavor is reminiscent of Kenyan berries, and the aftertaste is wrapped in a gentle sweetness like brown sugar.

Beans: 30g
Extraction amount: 400ml
Pouring amount: 600ml
Extraction time: 1 minute 45 seconds Steaming: 40 seconds Grind: Medium coarse Water temperature: 90 degrees

The key is to make the extraction time faster than with other roast degrees.
Hitomi 's coffee this time is impressive with its light and gentle sweetness.
We consciously extract it to bring out its goodness.

The shorter the brewing time, the easier it will be to have a light drinking experience.
Since we want Hitomi 's coffee to have a light flavor, we recommend brewing it faster than other roast levels.

[Medium roast] FUJIYAMA COFFEE ROASTERS Fujiyama Hiroyasu

I asked Mr. FUJIYAMA COFFEE ROASTERS Fujiyama Hiroyasu for medium roast.
 

Hiroyasu 's [ SL28 ] has an excellent balance of sweetness and sourness, and its gentle texture is impressive.
This is a cup that you want to drink slowly until the end.

Pouring amount: 600ml
Extraction time: 2 minutes Steaming: 1 minute Grind: medium-sized Water temperature: 90 degrees

The key is to allow more time for steaming than with other roasting degrees.
Hiroyasu 's coffee has a good balance of sweetness and sourness, and you can enjoy its gentle texture.
This is a cup that you want to balance while bringing out the brand's berry-like flavor and the cocoa-like richness.

Ideally, you should have a good balance without relying on one flavor.
Therefore, we recommend allowing more steaming time.
By doing so, the flavor will be extracted slowly and it will be easier to get the full flavor.

[Dark roast] MAKOTO Shin Sano

I asked MAKOTO Shin Sano to roast it darkly.
 

Sano 's [ SL28 ] is dark roasted, so it has an impressive bitter taste that comes from the degree of roasting.

You can feel the sweetness reminiscent of chocolate, which is unique to high-quality dark roasted coffee, and the sweet and sour taste of berries along with the thick texture.Although it is dark roasted, you can enjoy it until the end without getting tired of drinking it. It's full.

Extraction time: 2 minutes 15 seconds Steaming: 50 seconds Grinding: Medium water temperature: 92 degrees

The key is to make the water temperature higher than for other coffees.
Sano 's [ SL28 ] is a cup that you can enjoy with the richness that comes from the degree of roasting.
By increasing the temperature of the water, it becomes easier to bring out the richness and body feel.
Therefore, by brewing the water at a higher temperature than other coffees, we have created a cup that allows you to enjoy the sweetness and richness that is unique to a high-quality dark roast.
