Native to Ethiopia cultivated on a famous farm in Panama

This Limited Panama Box is a luxurious drinking comparison set containing 3 types of coffee created by 3 of Panama's leading farms.
The three types of farms/brands are as follows.

Esmeralda Farm Geisha "Esmeralda Special"
Hartman Farm Chichogalo (Ethiopian original)
Kotwa Farm Ethiopian original seeds

The varieties are Geisha , Chichogalo, and Ethiopian original.
In fact, all three varieties are native to Ethiopia. This set is made from original seeds brought from Ethiopia and cultivated by a famous farm in Panama.

Geisha is an original variety brought from Ethiopia, and the first variety cultivated in Panama that attracted attention was of course Geisha variety.
Although it is now a variety grown all over the world, it is difficult to find the floral and citrus flavors of Panama Geisha , so farms in Panama, including Esmeralda Farm, are cultivating plants that are compatible with Geisha variety. It is said to be the environment.

For this reason, ambitious farms in Panama cultivate Geisha and are also paying attention to other Ethiopian native species.
In this set, Hartman Farm uses an Ethiopian original variety called "Chichogalo," while Kotowa Farm uses a large number of original seeds that were planted on a trial basis to select the Ethiopian original variety that is suitable for their own farm. Masu.

From Ethiopia to Panama. If you consider these coffee trends while drinking, you may enjoy this set even more.

Geisha the best of Esmeralda Farms

The highlight of this set is, of course, the "Esmeralda Special."

Esmeralda Farm is a farm that "rediscovered" the forgotten Geisha variety and put it up for sale at the international auction "Best of Panama," where it received overwhelming acclaim and created a Geisha sensation all over the world.

It is said to be a farm where you can most clearly feel the characteristics of Panama Geisha , with an orthodox selection of washed and natural products.
In this set, Geisha of the highest quality (over 91 items) among Esmeralda farms and the ``Esmeralda Special'', which is given to a small number of Geisha that will be auctioned at private auctions, will be selected by three Japanese representatives. We had the roaster roast it for us.

In this set, one type is randomly selected from a total of four types, two washed types and two natural types.

Washed has a sweetness reminiscent of lemonade and a gorgeous flavor like jasmine.
Natural coffee has a rich peach-like sweetness and a thick texture.

BOP won this year too! Hartman family farm

Chichogalo from Hartman Farm is a new variety name given to the original Ethiopian variety selected at the farm as mentioned above.
It means "tough guy" and was named after the nickname of the current farm owner's father, the previous farm owner.

The Hartman family is a family farm in Santa Clara, in the Renacimiento district of western Panama, that has been producing coffee for three generations.
Since our founding, we have valued ``growing coffee in harmony with nature,'' and we grow coffee with ``harmony'' with the environment as our top priority.

The Hartman family farm won the Best of Panama Geisha category in 2020, and in 2021, Geisha Natural came in second and Washed in third, making it a brand that boasts unwavering quality in Panama.

This time, we have Hartman Farm's ``Ethiopian native species/honey process'' brand.
The balance of tea-like aroma, fruitiness, and firm sweetness makes it a coffee you'll want to drink every day, adding color to your day.

Cotowa Farm, a famous garden in Panama with a history of over 100 years

Kotwa Farm's original Ethiopian seeds were inherited from 166 varieties of Ethiopian seeds that were cultivated at CATIE (Tropical Agriculture Research Center) in Panama, and they began cultivating them in order to select varieties that would be suitable for their own farm. This coffee is a collection of original Ethiopian seeds.

Ricardo Coiner, the fourth-generation owner of the farm, is highly regarded around the world as a leader in specialty coffee cultivation in Panama. Mr. Ricardo, who has won awards at numerous competitions and also served as the president of the Panama Specialty Coffee Association, and the name of "Cotowa Farm" are known worldwide.

It's a very complex coffee with an exotic, perfume-like impression.
It has a strawberry-like berry acidity and a milk chocolate-like sweetness that lingers for a long time.
Please enjoy the unique taste that only Kotowa Farm can create.
