[SCAJ2024] Event schedule for CROWD ROASTER booth on the first day, the 9th

SCAJ2024, the annual specialty coffee festival, will be held for three days starting on Wednesday, October 9th.
As we have previously announced, CROWD ROASTER will also be exhibiting a booth!

Throughout the three days, we will be hosting a variety of events, including guest appearances, tastings, and special set sales.

At CROWD ROASTER booth, we will be delving deeper into the topic of roasting than ever before with some of Japan's leading roasters.
There will be a ton of talk events every day that you won't find anywhere else.

We will also be offering tastings of over 20 different types of coffee, and selling special coffee bean sets for comparison.
If you register as a member of CROWD ROASTER app, you will be able to sample coffee from participating roasters, so we recommend you register in advance!

10:30-11:00 Interview with Mikami Hitomi and Ryo on the flavor creation of "RDC"

How do Ryo, the quality control specialist who has evaluated many different coffees, and Mikami , who is in charge of roasting, think about and put into practice the flavor creation of Roast Design Coffee ?
We will ask him about how RDC creates its coffee flavor, focusing on roasting, and whether he is conscious of what makes his coffee different from other stores.

11:00-11:50 LEAVES Ishii Yasuo shares his views on world-class coffee

LEAVES COFFEE holds seminars inviting many of the world's top baristas and roasters.
What is Yasuo trying to bring to the Japanese coffee scene? We asked him about his goals.

12:00-12:30 Interview with Takuya Miura : Why he makes big changes to his roasting

After joining CROWD ROASTER , Miura (FUKUSUKE COFFEE) contacted us to say that he would be reducing the amount of coffee roasted per batch. What kind of changes have been made to his roasting? We would like to ask Miura about his roasting history and the reasons for such changes.

12:30-13:00 ETHICUS Yoshiya Yamazaki 's secrets for exhibiting at the coffee festival

Yamazaki is in high demand at coffee festivals all over Japan. Many people must have learned about ETHICUS at festivals. What does it take to be invited to so many festivals? How can you set up a stall with minimal resources? We asked Yamazaki about the secrets of setting up a stall at a coffee festival.

Narita is spreading the new appeal of dark roast coffee from Sapporo. How did he create this unprecedented dark roast coffee that has almost no bitterness, which is often associated with dark roast, and has a strong flavor and sweetness?

This is a special event where we will invite Geisha and other farmers who produce the world's best Panamanian coffee to our booth. We will directly ask the producers of famous coffee farms questions about coffee beans that will be helpful when roasting.

16:15-16:45 TRUNK ISHIHARA 's method for tuning the Stronghold roaster

Stronghold is the official roaster of the WCRC world championships. TRUNK COFFEE was one of the first to adopt it and has been testing its capabilities ever since. ISHIHARA , who is also competing in the JCRC, will teach us how to adjust this roaster, which can control three heat sources, in practice.
