On December 7th, the "Specialty Coffee Shinkansen" will run on the Tokaido Shinkansen! We are working with Kosakada on the preparations.


The "Specialty Coffee Shinkansen" will be operated to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the opening of the Tokaido Shinkansen.

This is a rare opportunity for CROWD ROASTER 's fellow baristas, Ishitani Takayuki and Yuya Kosakada , as well as Nishio Ippei from Direct Coffee Kyoto, to board the Nozomi Shinkansen and serve coffee that can only be experienced here.

CROWD ROASTER will be supporting this special project by providing top-lot coffee beans!

On this day, CROWD ROASTER team and Kosakada gathered at Kosakada 's restaurant, Raw Sugar Roast , and, taking cups, selected what special lot they would serve that day.

Together with Kosakada we have selected a truly rare and wonderful coffee that can only be found here, even if you look around the world. Details of the coffee will be revealed in the future. Please look forward to it!


That rare farm in Panama?


 
Yusuke Hirashima from JR Central's Sales Department visited us. He tasted the coffee and gave us the following comment!
"It has a rich aroma that I've never tasted before, and the taste and aroma change depending on when you drink it and at what temperature. For someone like me who has only ever drunk regular coffee, it was a shocking experience. When I think that our passengers will be able to drink this, I think it will be a really special event."

CROWD ROASTER will also be helping out by providing coffee beans for this "Specialty Coffee Shinkansen."

Tokaido Shinkansen 60th Anniversary Project "Specialty Coffee Shinkansen"

The Tokaido Shinkansen will celebrate its 60th anniversary in October 2024. To mark the occasion, a "Specialty Coffee Shinkansen" will be operated to commemorate the Tokaido Shinkansen's 60th anniversary, in which three popular baristas (Takayuki Ishitani, who has won the Japan Barista Championship three times, Yuya Kosakada ( Raw Sugar Roast , Setagaya, Tokyo), and Ippei Nishio (Direct Coffee Kyoto)) will ride the Tokaido Shinkansen and offer speciality coffee that can only be experienced here.
Take this opportunity to enjoy an extraordinary space while being enveloped in the aroma of high-quality coffee created by three baristas.
