Usukura 's honest review (1) Premium hand grinder "Etzinger" edition

New coffee equipment is constantly being released, and many people find it hard to decide which one to use.
So, in this project, I would like to give an honest review of the equipment I have actually used and how it feels to use.

The first commemorative item is the premium hand grinder "Etzinger," which has recently been used at CROWD ROASTER .
I've learned a few things after using it for a while, so in this article I'd like to review this grinder.

A premium hand grinder designed for ease of use

Etzinger is a brand based in the Principality of Liechtenstein that supplies blades and grinders all over the world.
The company is also known as the supplier of teeth to the world-famous Marzocco grinders.

Now let's take a look at the specs of the "Etzinger".

[Product Specifications]

The design is simple and beautiful, with a spacious look and a heavy feel that will appeal to men.

Uniquely designed RRB mechanism (Rotating Ring Burr) that rotates the outer blade

It uses a unique "RRB mechanism" design that rotates the outer blade.

By fixing the inner blade and rotating the outer ring-shaped blade, there is less rattle and the grain size is stable.
With less wobble, you can grind quickly and accurately.

Another great feature is that since there is no rotating shaft connected to the inner blade, the space inside the cylinder is spacious, making it easy to put beans in and clean.

An astonishing 88 levels of granularity

The grind size is suitable for everything from drip to espresso.

The settings can be adjusted in increments of 0.02mm, with a total of 88 settings!
I've never seen a grinder like that... (laughs)

I often control the grind size when adjusting my drip coffee, so this fine grind setting is very interesting.

The ring-type dial with scale makes it easy to set the grain size from the outside, and the clicking sound when changing the scale is amazing!

Easy to use and easy to access design

The handle, lid, and powder tray are magnetic, making it easy to use.

There is an image that most of them are screw-type, but magnetic types can be easily attached and detached, making them easy to use.

The blade can be removed and attached without tools, making cleaning and maintenance easy.

Actual impressions after use

The beans do not get caught when you use it, so you do not need to use much force to grind them, and it can be used smoothly.

The manual grinders I had used up until now often had issues with the quality of the blades, causing the beans to get caught and making it difficult to grind, but the Etzinger grinds very smoothly, so anyone can grind coffee easily.

The particle size distribution also appears to be very stable.
When you actually drink the extracted coffee, it has a rich flavor and is delivered in a clean cup.

Of course, the high quality of the brand is a factor, but I think the flavor can only be achieved because of the stable particle size distribution.

It's a little pricey, but I think it's a very high-quality grinder in terms of both design and functionality.

From now on, I would like to continue to review the coffee equipment I have used, based on my own personal impressions!
If you have any equipment that interests you, please contact the editorial department.
I will give an honest review.

Stay tuned for more!
