SCAJ 2023 (SCAJ World Specialty Coffee Conference and Exhibition 2023), an annual specialty coffee festival, was held at Tokyo Big Sight from September 27th to 29th.

At CROWD ROASTER booth, under the theme of "Gathering of Artisans," we invited all kinds of coffee professionals from the industry, including roasters, baristas, mechanics, importers, and producers, to hold various special shows and deliver special content that could only be seen and heard here.

Suzuki Kiyokazu on how to make "Glich"

On the first day, the 27th, we invited Suzuki Kiyokazu owner and roaster of Glich Coffee & Roasters, to hold a talk session and serve coffee.
 
 
The talk theme was " Popular overseas too! How was the one and only "Glich" created ?"
 
How has Kiyokazu grown Glich Coffee & Roasters, a roastery that is popular with Hikaru from overseas?
First of all, what was it that Kiyokazu Manabu about from the world barista champion Paul Bassett? We asked him about it, a story you won't find anywhere else.
 
Brand manager Ikeda, who is currently a barista at Paul Bassett, also popped in to join in. He also talked about when Paul Bassett first opened 17 years ago.
 
As the staff that Kiyokazu trained go independent, the number of rival stores increases, but Kiyokazu is inspired by his rivals and continues to improve himself, and I take my hat off to him for that.
