There is a strong berry flavor, with an acidity that changes from citrus to fruity flavors like peach or plum, and a long-lasting sweet aftertaste.
This "Chichogallo Honey" exudes high quality in every way, and is delivered with pride by the Hartmann Farm in Panama, where the Hartmann family has been painstakingly cultivating coffee for two generations.
The Hartman family farm is now one of Panama's most famous farms, ranking highly every year at the international auction "BEST OF PANAMA."
In 2020, it won the Geisha category at Best of Panama, and in 2021, Geisha Natural came in second and Washed came in third, making it a brand that boasts unshakable quality in Panama.
The Hartman family, who immigrated to Panama from the Czech Republic, established a coffee farm in 1940. Currently, the founder's children are in charge of running and managing the farm and also managing tourism that makes use of the natural environment. This farm is also known as an ecotourism farm that conserves the natural environment.
Hartman Farm grows Caturra , Geisha , Pache , Maragogype , Pacamara and Ethiopian landrace varieties.
This native Ethiopian variety was brought from Amarogayo in southern Ethiopia and was named "Chichogallo" (Tough Guy), which was his father's nickname, and was first cultivated.
This lot is made from Ethiopian native beans harvested with great care by Hartman Farm and then carefully selected through the honey process.
With this variety, Chichogallo, the Hartman family farm won first place for the second consecutive year in the Varietals category in 2023 and 2023 Best of Panama!
The lot we are introducing here has a black tea-like aroma and a balanced fruitiness and sweetness, making it a coffee that will brighten your days.
