CROWD ROASTER Usukura style new brand [SJBA] Brazilian extraction recipe

Starting tomorrow, "[SJBA] Brazil/San John Grande Farm/ Bourbon /Anaerobic" will be added to the lineup as a new brand of CROWD ROASTER .

Therefore, in this article, we will quickly deliver the extraction ratio of the new brand!
Please use this extraction recipe as a reference and find your own favorite recipe.

Well-balanced, clean cup

This new brand, "[SJBA] Brazil/San John Grande Farm/ Bourbon /Anaerobic" is a high quality Brazilian anaerobic with a very good moisture content of 10.8%.

The selection is Anaerobic Natural, but the strong fermented feeling produced by Anaerobic does not come out completely.

While it's warm, it has a high-quality Brazilian nutty sweetness, and as it cools down, you can get a glimpse of Anaerobic's berry-like flavor.
It has an excellent balance of sweetness and sourness, and is a brand that is very easy to drink in a clean cup.

The aim of the extraction is to create a taste that is good for the new brand, ``giving out a nutty aroma and being easy to drink in a clean cup.''

This time, we will use medium-roasted beans that we sample roasted in-house.

[Equipment used]
・Hario V60 02

[Extraction ratio]
・Beans amount: 25g
・Extraction amount: 300ml
・Amount of water poured: About 500ml ・Extraction time: 2 minutes ・Water temperature: 92 degrees ・Grind: Medium grind

①This time, I want to bring out the good balance that is the characteristic of this brand, so I will use a medium grind.

②In order to bring out the aromatic flavor unique to Brazil, set the water temperature at a high temperature of 92 degrees.
The higher the water temperature, the more heat energy is used during extraction, allowing more flavor to be extracted.
However, at the same time, negative elements tend to come out, so when pouring the second pour, pour in thick water quickly to avoid negative elements.

③ Pour hot water slowly and carefully from the center and steam for 40 seconds.

④ Once steaming is complete, pour hot water again in a circular motion from the center to the outside.
At this time, as mentioned above, remember to pour the hot water quickly.

⑤After pouring to the outside, pour in a circular motion from the outside to the center. When you get to the center, move outward again.
Continue this operation until the target extraction amount is achieved.
Continue pouring hot water until the dripper reaches its limit, then keep it at the top.
At this time, be careful not to pour too much hot water and spill the powder.

⑥When you reach the current extraction amount of 300ml, stop pouring.

⑦ Stir the server, pour into the warmed cup, and it's done.

This new brand, Brazil, is a coffee that can be enjoyed at varying temperatures.
Please try comparing the flavor when it is warm and the flavor after it has cooled down.
I think you will enjoy the change in flavor.

In addition, to commemorate the release of the new brand from tomorrow, we will be selling a limited quantity of the drinking comparison set "Brazilian Summer Anaerobic Set".

This drinking comparison set is divided into three roast levels: light roast, medium roast, and dark roast, and is a set that allows you to fully enjoy the taste of the new brand.

Please try the taste of the new Brazilian brand with this drinking comparison set, and then order a roast event with your favorite roaster or your favorite roast level.

Don't miss tomorrow's release!
