9 roasters explain the roast event at San John Grande Farm in Brazil!

Roast events, a fun experience unique to the CROWD ROASTER app, are currently gaining popularity.

If you participate in a roast event, you can compare the coffee brands in which participating roasters roast the same brand of coffee and get a feel for the individuality of each roaster.

Among them, CROWD ROASTER 's original lot, "[SJBA] Brazil San John Grande Farm Bourbon Anaerobic Natural", is recruiting participants for a whopping 10 roast events!

In this article, we will introduce each roast level, so please take this opportunity to participate in your favorite roast event!

CROWD ROASTER limited lot! Rare Bourbon Anaerobic

Currently, ``[SJBA] Brazil/San John Grande Farm/ Bourbon /Anaerobic'' has 10 roast events held by 9 roasters.
You can enjoy a variety of flavors from light roast to dark roast.

This brand, made from Bourbon from Saint John Grande Farm and finished with Anaerobic, is a limited batch made for CROWD ROASTER . You can't get it anywhere else!

This batch is a complex and distinctive coffee with a Brazilian aroma, a fruity sourness that is not typical of Brazil, and a slight anaerobic fermentation.

What about the light roast event?

Lightly roasted, it has the bright nuttiness typical of Brazil, but also has the characteristic berry flavor of carefully selected varieties, giving it a sweet and sour impression.
Currently, three roasters are launching a roast event using light roasts.

・ou.bai.tou.ri coffee roasters Machi Kodama
・Roast Design Coffee Mikami Hitomi
・ABOUT US COFFEE Yasunari Sawanoi

Kodama aims for "elegant Brazilian" roasting, and Hitomi aims for clean roasting.
Mr. Sawanoi has launched a roast event for light and dark roasts using this brand. You can also compare the taste of light roast and dark roast roasted by Sawanoi . This is a way of enjoying that can only be done with CROWD ROASTER .

What about the medium roast event?

Medium-roast has a good balance of richness, sweetness, and acidity, making it an extremely easy-drinking cup.If you are unsure, we recommend medium-roast.
There are three roasters who are holding medium-roast roast events.

・FUJIYAMA COFFEE ROASTERS Fujiyama Hiroyasu
・FUKUSUKE COFFEE ROASTERY Takuya Miura
・Brewman Tokyo Hikaru Ono

Mr. Hiroyasu aims for a medium roast that is a ``fusion of acidity and sweetness,'' Miura , who doesn't often carry anaerobic types in his stores, makes a well-balanced and sweet cup, and Mr. Ono also aims for a well-balanced roast.

What about the dark roast event?

The dark roast has a caramelized sweetness and aroma unique to the roasting level, and as it cools down, a faint berry flavor comes out, making it a cup that is fun to watch as the temperature changes.
There are four roasters who are launching dark roast roast events.

・RED POISON COFFEE ROASTERS Tomomichi Morifuji
・LiLo Coffee Roasters Nakamura Keita
・THE COFFEESHOP Daito Hagiwara
・ABOUT US COFFEE Yasunari Sawanoi

Mr. Morifuji has a strong image of a light roast, but this time he responded to a request with a ``slightly dark roast.'' Keita aims for a ``colorful dark roast,'' Hagiwara aims for a dark roast that is ``based on sweetness.''

Each roast level has its own character, and even at the same roast level, the flavor development and body thickness will vary depending on the roaster's finishing method.

I think it's interesting to see the differences just by reading the comments at roast events where each roaster writes about how they try to finish the roast!

Please check out the comments from roasters and try participating in the roast event that interests you!
