CROWD ROASTER review on September 27th

At this year's CROWD ROASTER booth, all kinds of professionals from the coffee industry, including roasters, baristas, mechanics, importers, and producers, gather together to hold a variety of events and shows. We deliver special content that can only be seen and heard here.

Now let's look back at the first day, Wednesday, September 27th.

Talk & extract show where Raw Sugar Kosakada talks about his passion

From 11am, we will be inviting Yuya Kosakada , a roaster at the popular specialty coffee shop " Raw Sugar Roast " and a participant in CROWD ROASTER , to give a talk session and roast CROWD ROASTER that she roasted herself. We had CROWD ROASTER brand coffee brewed for us.

The talk was titled ``Sweet and smart Yuya Kosakada and the secret of RawSugar that will change the coffee industry,'' and Kosakada talked about roasting and the future of the specialty coffee industry.

In response to the current situation where specialty coffee is not popular among the general public, Mr. Kosakada is pursuing what can be done with roasting, and how he is changing the industry as a barista, roaster, and teacher. , we talked about our secret and passionate feelings.

Also, in the second half, Mr. Kosakada taught us about extraction methods that are unique to him.

A roaster roundtable discussion that you won't hear anywhere else will be held with all 3 roasters!

We invited four roasters: Roast Design Coffee Mikami Hitomi and Hitomi Ryo, SPARK COFFEE ROASTERS Tanaka Yoshiya , and THE COFFEESHOP Daito Hagiwara , and the topic was `` What's interesting about roasting? '' We had a talk session.

We asked the roasters who are participating in CROWD ROASTER to talk about their true feelings, which is hard to hear again.

Regarding roasting, Mr. Yoshiya said that the environment in which the store is located and the design of the store, including the construction of the chimney, have an influence on the roasting process, which is interesting. Mr. Hagiwara works by carefully working with the beans. Mr. Mikami Hitomi talked about how fun it is to bring out the characteristics of different beans.

It was an interesting story between all three people.

A valuable conversation between Japan's representative roaster Nakamura , who is challenging the world, and coach Hitomi !

We had a conversation between Japanese Roasting Champion Yoshiyuki Nakamura , who is competing in the world competition, and his coach, Hitomi Hitomi, on the subject of `` How to become the world's best roaster .''

The two are making final preparations for the world roasting competition "WCRC" to be held in Taiwan in November.

Since the rules for judges will change this year, Hitomi is gathering information and Nakamura is busy repeating verification.
Coach Hitomi also said that he has full confidence in Nakamura 's roasting, and he is looking forward to the world tournament that these two will take on.

How to make “Glich” from Suzuki Kiyokazu

We invited Suzuki Kiyokazu , the owner and roaster of Glich Coffee & Roasters, for a talk session and coffee session.

The talk theme was " Popular even from overseas!! How was the one and only 'Glich' created ?"

How did Mr. Kiyokazu grow Glich Coffee & Roasters, a roastery that is popular with Hikaru from overseas?
Also, how did you develop the former members of Glich who are active in various places?

We asked Kiyokazu about this secret that is rarely revealed!

How to enjoy coffee taught by LiLo Nakamura Keita

After Kiyokazu , we invited Nakamura Keita of LiLo Coffee Roasters to have a talk session and serve coffee.

The talk theme was " Tell me, ENOHARA -san! Crossover ways to enjoy coffee ."

ENOHARA , who conveys the appeal of specialty ENOHARA in various ways, took a deep dive into her thoughts on such activities, roasting coffee at LiLo Coffee Roasters , and more.

ENOHARA says that a roaster role that supports baristas is a good fit for him.
Rather than creating something from scratch, ENOHARA is good at turning one into 10, then 100 million (!!), so we talked a lot about what he enjoys doing.

At the CROWD ROASTER booth, there are many events like this from the first day.
Please come to the CROWD ROASTER booth at SCAJ2023!
