Sales are finally starting! World's best class Geisha "Esmeralda Special"

This is a notice of a special project that has started selling at CROWD ROASTER .
 
 

As mentioned in a previous article , CROWD ROASTER team sought out the best Panamanian Geisha and contacted Esmeralda Farm through BRISA & TIERRA, a trading company specializing in specialty coffee, to find Geisha grown in a special section. I was able to purchase a certain "Esmeralda Special" in nano lot.
 
We will deliver this rare brand to everyone.

Speaking of Geisha , Esmeralda Farm

Speaking of Esmeralda Farm, it is a famous farm that sparked Geisha boom and is now synonymous with Geisha , which is not pushed or pushed. It won an overwhelming award at the Best of Panama auction in 2004, and continued to win for four years, an extraordinary award history. Esmeralda Farm is the farm that started Geisha whirlwind, including the start of an auction category exclusively for coffee.

Furthermore, Geisha variety from Esmeralda Farm is divided into three brands: Esmeralda Special, Private Collection, and Geisha Geisha grown at an altitude of 1,600 to 1,800m has a cupping score of A collection of 91 points or more is lined up as Esmeralda Special.
 
Esmeralda Special, the highest rank, is a brand that can only be named by Geisha of special quality that is exhibited at private auctions, and it is said that less than 10% of the Esmeralda farm is harvested.

Among these world-class rare and special Geisha brands, we were able to obtain only those that were rated as particularly excellent by the copper people who evaluate CROWD ROASTER coffee, in ultra-nano lots. So, I have decided to share it with you all.

A farm that continues to produce the world's best coffee


Within Esmeralda Estates, there are three estates growing Geisha variety, named Jaramillo, Cañas Verdes and El Velo.

This Esmeralda Special was caught in the highland section of Caña Verde. This cultivation area is around 2,000m, compared to other farms and cultivation areas around 1,700m, and the microclimate that is different from other farms creates a unique Geisha that is unique to this area.
And at Esmeralda Farm, the lot units are smaller than before, and they are more segmented and more nano-lot development is underway, bringing out the individuality of each product.

The timing of harvesting is determined based on the harvest date, the ripeness of the cherries, and the weather conditions at that time, and the subsequent process is adjusted depending on the condition of the harvested cherries. Esmeralda Farm, which has been producing the world's best coffee beans for nearly 20 years, is able to provide such detailed attention to production management techniques.

The Esmeralda Special that we will deliver to you is from the Montaña section of the Caña Verde Farm.As mentioned above, the Esmeralda Farm has been divided into lots, and the harvest area for this lot is only 0.5 ha. Geisha Natural in the Montaña section is also famous for being sold for a world record price of $601 per pound at the 2017 Best of Panama.

This time, it was roasted by Yoshiyuki Nakamura ( mamepolepole , Okinawa), who has won the JCRC (Japan Coffee Roasting Championship) twice in 2017 and 2022, and has achieved second place in the world competition. I asked for it.
 
When we were able to deliver this brand to everyone, CROWD ROASTER team debated who would roast it.
We receive a once-in-a-year supply of raw beans, so after careful consideration with CROWD ROASTER dedicated copper, we decided to have Yoshiyuki Nakamura of mamepolepole do the roasting this time.
 
It was unanimously decided that roasting by Yoshiyuki Nakamura would be the best way to bring out the unique flavor of Geisha and the elegant taste brought about by the natural process controlled by engineers at prestigious farms. I asked Yoshiyuki Nakamura , and he kindly accepted.

When I cupped it, the floral scent reminiscent of jasmine spread from the moment the beans were ground, and the numerous fruit flavors that overflowed with just one sip were of great quality. Centered around a rich sweetness reminiscent of ripe melon and peach, Geisha 's unique lemon and citrus flavors balance out the overall flavor, creating a nutritious taste.

It has a thick honey-like texture and a clear mouthfeel. A cup with a sweet aftertaste that lasts forever. As the Esmeralda Special title suggests, it is truly the world's best Geisha natural.

Nowadays, "Esmeralda Special" is difficult to obtain unless you have a connection with Esmeralda Farm. The CROWD ROASTER team is very much looking forward to delivering such an ultra-rare brand to everyone.
 
 


For this project, we selected four sections from among several special sections at Esmeralda Farm and finished them using two processes: washed and natural.
The first product will be a brand made from Geisha seeds harvested in four sections using a natural process.
We plan to introduce the remaining three stocks in due course.
