A marriage of spring colors—extraordinary coffee meets Japanese-style Western sweets on BARNEYS CAFE's limited-edition spring menu

BARNEYS CAFE BY CROWD ROASTER will be having a special time this spring.

A special spring menu, "The Oblique Tea Party," will be available for a limited time from March 7th (Sat) to 19th (Thu).
Enjoy the marriage of a humorous roll cake resembling sakura mochi and one of the world's rarest coffees.

Limited-edition sweets and coffee perfect for spring

The star of the show this time is the limited-time sweet "Sakura and Strawberry Roll Cake Sakuramochi Style."
This dish, which expresses the humor and sensibility unique to Barneys New York, was created by Chef Patissier Seki Keiri of La Maison de B It embodies the concept of "Western sweets that taste like Japanese sweets."

This exquisite treat is visually reminiscent of spring, with cherry blossom leaf-flavored cream and ripe Tochiotome strawberries wrapped in a chewy, pale cherry-colored biscuit and garnished with a cherry blossom leaf chocolate. With every bite, the nostalgic aroma of sakura mochi wafts through the air, and the delicate flavor, along with the fresh sweetness of strawberries, is like the gentle spread of spring sunshine.



The spring drink that will complement these sweets is the limited-edition coffee "La Hueria Catuai Natural Anaerobic."

La Huelia is a farm that holds a special place among the coffees handled by CROWD ROASTER . Based in Boquete, Panama, farm owner Pedro Moss has refined his unique fermentation techniques to the utmost, and currently operates an unusual system in which he wholesales raw beans to only two buyers in the world. His strict quality standards and unique production methods are proven by his success in winning the UK Great Taste Award in 2019 and 2020.

This limited edition coffee is made with La Huelia Catuai grapes and natural anaerobic fermentation. It has a floral aroma that evokes spring and a clear sweetness that is truly impressive, and the color image is even reflected in the label design.

The delicate Japanese aroma of sakura mochi blends with the floral sweetness of coffee to create a "marriage of spring colors" that is unique to this season. When enjoying limited edition sweets, be sure to enjoy them with this coffee.

A spring matcha drink created by a famous Ginza bartender

In addition to sweets and coffee, "Diagonal Tea Ceremony" offers another special flavor. Three types of matcha drinks, including the non-alcoholic "Soy Milk Matcha Latte" and "Soy Milk Matcha Cocktail Sakura & Chestnut," will be available on the limited-time menu from March 7th to 19th. This easy-to-drink drink combines the mellowness of soy milk with the refreshing bitterness of matcha, and pairs perfectly with sweets.



These drinks were supervised by Kamiki Toshiyuki, owner and bartender of Bar Yu-nagi, an authentic bar located on Ginza Suzuran Street.

Kamiki, known for creating cocktails using carefully selected Japanese ingredients, also has a deep connection with CROWD ROASTER . Bar Yu-nagi uses CROWD ROASTER 's original blend coffee in its Black Russian and drip coffee, and the "Unsweetened Black Russian," made with the finest dark roast by roaster Narita , is a popular drink at the bar.

The matcha drinks, supervised by Kamiki, who has a deep understanding of coffee and a delicate sense for handling Japanese ingredients, go perfectly with the limited edition sweets.

Furthermore, on Sunday, March 15th, Kamiki himself will be appearing as a guest bartender at BARNEYS CAFE. He will personally deliver matcha drinks that he has personally supervised to customers.
